Food Considerations – Raw Vegan, Vegan, Gluten-free, Sugar free, Clean, What?

There are so many options out there, with some good science behind many of them. What do you choose? Do you go Raw Vegan? Do you choose cooked Vegan or Vegetarian? Is Gluten-free important? How about Sugar-free? How is eating clean or plant-based different?

Most important seems to be – what resonates with your body currently? This is often times different from what your mind wants or tells you is okay to eat right now. Your body is often more subtle, unless you ignore it for too long. At first, when something no longer works for your body, you often will get a heavy feeling after eating the meal. If you don’t pay attention to that, then the body often signals you with bloating and indigestion and perhaps either diarrhea or constipation. If you ignore these signs long enough, if can develop into something more serious like IBS or Diabetes, Heart Disease or Cancer. It is so important to listen to your body to determine what works best for you.

All of the possible ways to eat out there work for someone. Your journey to discovery is to determine what your own body needs. My journey may resonate with you, and if so, I’m happy to help you along the way of Vegan, Raw Vegan, Clean Eating, to discover ways to make your journey easier, more direct, and tastier.

Why eat it if it doesn’t taste good, right? It’s just a matter of finding out a few key things that fit your likes and lifestyle. We all have our go-to recipes or food preparation picks. It’s just about adjusting those to also meet your body’s needs. And, your body’s needs change over time, especially as you get older, and if you’re a woman, big hormonal changes occur as you mature into your wise woman years. You might eat one way for a time, and then need to make an adjustment later on and eat either a slightly different or very different way. If you keep listening and following your body’s guidance, the journey will be much smoother.
